How will this affect the race and each candidate?
Under DNC rules, no state can hold their primaries or caucuses before February 5, except Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. Consequently, the Democratic National Committee decided that delegates from Florida will not sit, or, if granted, do not vote in the National Convention. In addition, the DNC also said that banning all candidates to receive delegates if the primary campaign in Florida. As such the Florida Democrats will be invaluable as a means of advertising and will not have a direct impact on the people who win the DNC nomination. The RNC scratched only half of its delegates from Florida for the movement and, as such, is still a good amount of power.
